Keys Responsibilities:
Manages the daily operations in the Chemistry sectionSchedules daily activities of the section to ensure all due dates are met on time. Checks and evaluates validity of test results and submits them to the Operations Manager for release. Plans and implements validation, verification and/or development of test methods. Ensures that the resources for analysis (analyst’s qualification, reagents, equipment, test methods, and environment) are available, allocated, and appropriate for the services being provided. Ensures the updated inventory of glassware and reagents. Request purchase, as necessary. Maintains laboratory equipment and Implements calibration and preventive maintenance program in the Chemistry section. Prepares and implements Proficiency Testing Plan. Analyze results, and design improvements or corrective actions, as necessary. Support in technical concerns of customers and/or participate in the investigation of customer complaints regarding technical results. Establishes, reviews, implements, and maintains Quality Control procedures which will give adequate confidence that testing activities and test results meet the standards set by Qualibet and those of government institutions / regulating bodies. Maintains, reviews, implements, and complies with the established Quality Management System, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, Good Laboratory Practices, and other government regulations and recognitions. Ensures that all laboratory policies are always followed and implements quality assurance programs. Implements corrective actions or improvements on processes related to the assigned section. Participates in continuing training and development programs and provides training to the personnel (new and existing). Monitors and evaluates performance of Analysts under Chemistry Section. Assists in chemical analysis in the absence of assigned analyst or when additional manpower is necessary. Performs other duties as assigned by Operations Manager, General Manager and Board of Directors.
Qualification:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Licensure: Licensed Chemist Experience: 2-4 years in a supervisory position in relevant industry Preferred Industry: Testing laboratory, Quality control industry Communication Skills: Above average Technical Skills: Above average Leadership Skills: Above average
