Location/Division Specific Information
We are looking for a new colleague to join our EMEA High-Performance Chromatography Solutions (HPCS) Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) team. The position can be based anywhere in Germany, ideally near an international airport (e.g., Berlin (preferred) or Munich).

The Role

As a Technical Sales Specialist (TSS) (m/f/d), you will play a key role in identifying and developing business opportunities in the HPCS market. You will apply your expertise in HPLC/HPCS to deliver value-based solutions and build long-term partnerships with our customers.

You will work closely with country sales teams, divisional marketing, business unit marketing, and technical service functions. You embrace and live our 4i values: Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.

Key Responsibilities

Drive revenue growth of HPCS instruments in alignment with strategic goals of the CMD European Commercial Organization.Serve as a technical expert for HPLC/HPCS systems and workflows across a variety of applications and industries.Identify new sales opportunities, particularly in Environmental Food Safety (EFS) and Food & Beverage markets.Communicate the Thermo Fisher Scientific value proposition from sample to knowledge.Collaborate with key account managers and internal teams to support the full sales cycle.Support New Product Introductions (NPIs), product demonstrations, and field evaluations.Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.Maintain a strong and accurate pipeline using sales tools (e.g., Salesforce).Travel to customer sites and internal meetings (approx. 50–75%).

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

M.Sc. degree in Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Food Science) or Business, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience

proven experience in technical sales or application support for HPLC/HPCS and related analytical instrumentation.Familiarity with QA/QC lab workflows is an advantage.Experience in Environmental Food Safety or Food & Beverage industries and/or laboratory experience in Pharma/BioPharma sectors is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Strong technical and commercial understanding of chromatography workflows.Proven track record to adapt communication and approach to a diverse customer base.Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.Proficient in German and English – both written and spoken – is a must.High levels of self-motivation and a forward-thinking approach.Proficient in CRM and pipeline management tools.
