About youWe are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist - Engineering to support OTIS sales and operations by delivering tailored project solutions.
You will be involved in providing expert sales support through technical analysis, lift design applications, and vendor coordination. You will be responsible for managing and designing customer group orders, advising on engineering best practices, and ensuring seamless integration of solutions into operational workflows. This role will be based in our Sydney CBD office and reports to the Engineering Manager.
As an Engineering Technical Sales Specialist, your key responsibilities include:Supporting sales through technical guidance and product approvals. Investigating risks associated with new and existing designs.
Deliver layout drawings and contract-engineered solutions to the operations teams
Collaborate with the Engineering team on the development of calculation tools utilised in design processes.
Be intellectually curious and use his/her experience and knowledge to bring to the attention of engineering new products, inventions, and ideas that can contribute to the technological and operational advancement of Otis
Coordinate with Logistics in the completion of Local Vendor Orders for New Equipment and Modernisation projects
Understand customer technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Prepare and present technical proposals, quotations, and documentation.
Provide technical service support, including problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
Support the growth of the Modernization and BEX business.
Effectively communicate technical issues between Operations and Engineering.
Provide technical and internal client service excellence whilst ensuring client objectives and deadlines are met.
Identify process improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement to ensure customer satisfaction with your processes.
Provide administrative support to the Field Operations Department and the operations teams.
What you will need to be successfulBachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics) or related qualifications
Minimum 5-10 years design work experience within construction and/or design (AutoCAD, 3D Modelling, familiar using CREO or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Modelling)
Proven experience within the Lift industry will be preferred.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
Good knowledge in using technology, including mobile applications and computer-based reporting systems (Word, Excel, Email, Internet, database management) to analyse data and trends.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Have exceptional time management skills and possess strong organizational abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and is results-driven.
