Objectives of the Position

 

 

 

  Responsible for local business development of ED2 additives including updating market intelligence and customer relationship management

Main Tasks

 

 

 

   Operational planning

Make annual operational planning in line with mid-long term strategy.

Set up respective targets for distributors, key accounts, products, costs, and projects and implement them accordingly

 

Business strategy, mid-long term sales planning

Implement business strategies for products, accounts, segments, and channels according to those strategies and set priorities with milestones (sales pipeline, market shares, channel mgmt. profit mgmt., and services optimization) for the mid-long term business planning

 

Distributor management

Develop distributor management (set clear role and responsibility, implement our sales strategy and assess their performance and service level to foster business development

Conclude sales contract teams & conditions according to company credit policy and check the financial status regularly to update credit limit.

Update accurate forecast and input monthly into APO/OMP.

Negotiate price (align with strategic pricing.), terms and conditions of product supply.

Secure sales orders and be responsible for collection.

Manage the aging and off-spec products.

Treat distributors/customers’ complaints (NCM) with priority and follow up accordingly.

 

Account relationship management

Establish strong relationships with accounts and network to the key people in these companies and respective strategic industries and utilize NPS to review the activities

Identify the market needs and accounts’ requirements to offer the best solutions to make us differentiate ourselves with value proposition from competitors

Ensure adequate support for the business by coordinating technical info & requirements between customer and SBU managers & providing basic technical product advice.

Arrange visits by business management/ Technical Personnel when required.

Ensure new product presentation to maintain BASF position as the market leader for innovation in the relevant industry.

Participate and support XBU activities where relevant to BU.

 

Generation and achieving sales pipelines

Sourcing for new potential accounts, new opportunities at existing accounts, and business development ideas

Target for competitor products replacement with BASF existing and new products.

Organize workshops, product training, and product presentations for potential accounts to ensure they are familiar with BASF existing and new products

Create NDA (non-disclosure agreement) for new product development and generate sufficient profit in return.

 

 

 

 

Market Intelligence & reporting

Prepare a solid agenda for each visit, specify the objective and target that BU wants to achieve, and provide visit reports in a timely manner

Collect & share documenting market information, information about competitors, market trends, and customer market surveys and then propose actions.

 

Project Lead

Drive projects by actively influencing both internal and external stakeholders. Proactively support and influence the team members' project progress.

 

People management and development

Coach and support other team members to develop needful skillset throughout OJT  

 

 

 

Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position

Education: University bachelor’s degree (chemical background)Working Experience: At least 8 years (industry: coating & ink, job: Sales or technical service/ R&D) People who have experienced formulation additives are welcomedSkillset (Presentation, Business level English and Japanese, Meeting facilitation, Computer)
