TECHNICAL ROOF INSPECTOR
**Roof & Building Envelope Consultant** **Position Summary:** This is a full-time position responsible for **design development** and **project documentation** . The role also involves diagnosing system failures, troubleshooting issues, managing roofing projects, and creating cost estimates. This individual will perform and document specialized diagnostic testing while ensuring all quality assurance functions of the company are met. The consultant is required to produce effective and professional reports for clients. **Essential Functions** + **Design & Diagnostics:** Develop and convey practical design solutions for water intrusion issues, assess damage, and identify sources of water and water vapor. + **Project & Quality Management:** Serve as a project manager, upholding the company's standards of excellence and delegating responsibilities as needed. + **Testing & Analysis:** Perform and document specialized diagnostic testing. Accurately identify assemblies, conduct age analysis, and project service life. + **Documentation & Communication:** Comprehend, navigate, and prepare construction documents (drawings, specifications, etc.). Create effective reports and other client-required documents. + **Client Relations & Cost Estimating:** Develop strong relationships with clients and provide accurate cost estimates for projects. **Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalency. + Minimum of **six years of construction, architectural, or engineering-related experience** . + Proficient in **Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam** . + Must have an RRO, RA, PE, or other acceptable certification. + A clean driving and criminal record is required for security clearances and background checks. Must be drug-free. **Benefits & Expectations** + **Work Schedule:** Regular full-time hours are Monday through Friday, with a core schedule of 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Additional hours, including occasional weekend work, may be required to meet project deadlines. + **Promotion:** Eligible for promotion to **Senior Consultant** once qualifications are met. + **Benefits:** The company provides and pays for employee-only health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
