Job Description

You are a part of a high-impact, global organization within Philips that works across all modalities – The Sustaining Engineering Team (STET). STET has been established as an entrepreneurial organization that focuses on fast paced, high-quality portfolio transfers within the Philips global supply base to mitigate risk & maximize profitability. As a senior member within this team, the transfer leader is responsible for driving technical excellence within said projects to ensure first-time-right quality

Your role:

Project Leadership - Drive execution of global supplier transfer initiatives, E2E product launches, and lifecycle engineering activities aligned with business goals.

Engineering Release Management - Create and manage detailed engineering release schedules to qualify products with new suppliers and ensure seamless transition to production.

Technical Problem Solving - Resolve product specification issues, lead design review workshops, guide reverse engineering efforts, and develop custom test fixtures to meet quality requirements.

Supplier Quality Assurance - Own supplier performance in assigned projects; identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions to achieve supply chain benchmarks.

Requirement Definition & Documentation - Ensure robust product requirements through comprehensive documentation and reverse engineering when needed to support transfer success.

KPI Delivery - Fully accountable for achieving critical KPIs related to product quality, productivity, and cost targets tied to annual business plans.

Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with internal business units to understand evolving needs and drive value through innovative sourcing and engineering strategies.

You're the right fit if you have:

Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

7+ Years experience in design cycle of high-tech electronic components, assemblies, and/or electro-mechanical systems

PMP certification highly desired

Desired Candidate Profile:

Experience as a Design Transfer Leader is a must

Experience with cost engineering and management.

Experience in design cycle of high-tech electronic components, assemblies, and/or electro-mechanical systems

Strong project management skills is a must with ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders

Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, across functions and organizational layers; proven ability to manage relationships at all org levels.  

Knowing and understanding broad business perspective.

Knowledge of Supply management strategies and tools.

Demonstrated ability in working in a complex/global environment.


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an office-based role.
