As a Technical Project Manager III in Korea Payments Technology, you will help lead complex technology projects and programs that drive business goals and create value for clients, employees, and stakeholders. Job responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals Utilize technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and schedules as needed, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project or program lifecycle Manage change requests based on an accurate fast business requirement analysis Lead documentation for BRD, FRD, E2E/UAT scenarios with various tech/non-tech teams Lead execution of tests such as UAT, E2E with multiple teams including Clearing House Work on regulatory tasks (incl. reg reporting), tech risk control tasks, and audit follow-ups Follow-up on firm-wide initiatives for standardization and modernization (incl. CI/CD & SDLC) Manage relationships with external partners/vendors and internal key stakeholdersRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities Proven experience leading through the project lifecycle management, including influencing decision makers and adapting to changes as business needs evolve Strong technical fluency, with familiarity in current and relevant platforms, software tools, and technologies Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding project teams to achieve their goal Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment. Experience in budget management and financial forecasting for technology projects Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools to support project decision-making Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trendsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience as a technology consultant in PL/PM roles for banking projects in Korea Experience in developing and executing strategic technology roadmaps with multi-national foreign financial companies in Korea Fluent in written, spoken, and reading for both English and Korean Proven track record of managing multiple international projects simultaneously Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders Skilled in optimizing manual tasks and processes (including a reporting) Deep understanding of regulatory requirements for financial firms in Korea and knowledge in modern front-end technologies, including Java, Oracle, Spring, React, Jenkins, AWS or any Cloud, MQ-based development
