Technical Project Manager

Leidos is seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead and drive the planning, execution, and oversight of complex technical initiatives across multiple service teams. This role is critical to ensuring alignment between program objectives, technical solutions, and stakeholder expectations within a mission-driven environment. The selected candidate will serve as a Senior TPM within the IPT structure, managing cross-functional priorities, mentoring junior staff, and engaging directly with program leadership and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of cross-cutting initiatives across engineering, architecture, and delivery teamsManage project schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with enterprise goalsServe as the primary point of contact for initiative-level planning, reporting, and customer communicationProvide strategic guidance to multiple junior project managers, enabling team growth and continuityRepresent IPT in executive forums, including program management reviews (PMRs), requirements reviews, and customer briefingsDevelop and maintain integrated roadmaps, tracking critical milestones and ensuring delivery across service areasOwn the requirements lifecycle from intake to decomposition, validation, and traceability using systems engineering best practicesOversee the maintenance of project documentation, metrics, and risk registers using tools such as Jira and ConfluenceProactively identify, escalate, and mitigate project-level risks and blockers affecting mission deliveryDrive agile delivery practices across service teams, ensuring visibility, transparency, and velocityFacilitate collaboration across technical leads, security, compliance, and enterprise architecture stakeholdersChampion continuous improvement, driving process enhancements and delivery quality across the IPT

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field and 15+ years of experience.Experience in technical program or project management roles, including experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams in mission-critical environmentsDemonstrated expertise with Agile methodologies, and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence to manage cross-team initiatives and maintain delivery transparencyProven ability to lead project execution across diverse technical and functional areasExperience with requirements engineering, risk management, milestone tracking, and executive-level reportingStrong leadership presence with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsMust hold an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Project Management Professional (PMP), or other advanced PM certificationsBackground in Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) or entitlements programsExperience working on modernization efforts, enterprise transformation, or large-scale system integrations

Pay Range:Pay Range $134,550.00 - $243,225.00
