Technical Project Manager

SEI has a career opportunity for an individual who will be working as a Technical Project Manager responsible for several technical initiatives across varies areas of the business.  This includes working with, but not limited to, fund operations, product and solutions, technical operations, infrastructure, and development teams. Tasks include leading large-scale development projects, problem determination, upgrades, as well as removing road blocks for project teams and keeping stakeholders informed on project status.

The individual needs to be able to work in a fast paced and rapid deployment environment.

What you will do:

Participate in all aspects of project management for assigned initiatives, including reporting, monitoring, creating and maintaining a plan, and coordinating and driving meetings to achieve milestones and project successIdentify resolutions for project issues and the mitigation of identified risks. Ability to communicate to both client and SEI key stakeholders.Take ownership of your projects - understand the underlying components and business use cases for your initiativeWork with Product Management, Product Owners, and technical Business Owners to help assure strategy and execution alignment, including the development of a product roadmapAddress escalations from your project teams to make sure the team continues to move forward without roadblocksMonitor and report overall project status and cross-team dependencies - take corrective actions as needed to keep the project on scheduleAllocate personnel as required to accomplish project objectives. Suggest and implement process and quality improvements to help ensure client quality and satisfactionPromote Agile methodologies and DevOps principlesParticipate in release and implementation efforts for underlying projectsServe as coach, advisor and career counselor to other project managersEvaluate performance and provide input, guidance, and corrective actions as necessary Identify next leaders and rising stars; challenge them and help them grow 

What we need from you:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or universityA minimum of 3 years of Project Management experienceExperience working with development resources on software development projects in a fast paced environmentExperience as a software development practitioner with prior hands on experience in one or more technical disciplinesPrior knowledge of micro service architecture; including Angular, Java, Kubernetes, Kafka and/or PL/SQL is highly desiredSuccessful leadership of projects while keeping them on schedule; projects of interest include adding new features to applications and system upgradesWorking knowledge of high-level technical concepts and processes Prior experience with Project Management tools (Rally, JIRA, Confluence, etc)
