For our client, a leading international company specialising in future-oriented energy technologies and bundling expertise in the fields of wind energy, gas, power grids and electrification, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager - High Voltage Substations (m/w/d).

Job Description

Acting as the local interface and coordinator for a strategic pilot project in Germany, you will represent our engineering capabilities in high and very high voltage substations (HVAC/HVDC/FACTS) for a major energy client. You will bridge the communication between the client and the engineering teams, ensuring successful delivery of technical work packages.

Serve as the main point of contact with the German client for all project-related topicsLead and coordinate engineering efforts related to substation design (HVAC, HVDC, FACTS)Ensure proper understanding and translation of client requirements to internal teamsSupport the preparation of technical proposals and work package (WP) breakdownsMonitor deliverables, quality, deadlines, and participate in clarification meetingsFacilitate multinational team coordination, including front/back office dynamicsContribute to project reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planningEnsure technical excellence and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle

QualificationsEngineering degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering10+ years experience in electrical infrastructure projectsExperience in project management or WP delivery for large-scale industrial or energy projectsProven experience in high voltage / very high voltage substations (design & execution)Familiarity with HVAC, HVDC systems, and FACTS technologiesKnowledge of VSC technologies, EMT studies, and grid integration of renewables is a strong assetUnderstanding of electrical protection schemes, SCADA systems, and IEC standardsFluency in German and English (French is a plus).Strong interpersonal and client-facing skillsAbility to work with multicultural and remote teams
