Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with prior experience in capital markets and coordinating execution of complex initiatives across teams in an agile manner.
This role will cover responsibilities over project execution globally across front office trading systems, middle office booking, clearing and reg reporting systems as well as supporting functions such as TCA and other data services.
The successful candidate will own all aspects of project planning, execution and delivery and be the primary interface to stakeholders (Business, Technology, Product Management and Compliance).
Plan and maintain oversight over all aspects of key initiative(s), from defining requirements to evaluating the finished product.
Lead budget estimates, risk evaluation, internal approval(s) and contracts (as needed).
Lead scrum meetings with multi-functional teams and key partners at all levels.
Maintain JIRA based book-of-work, planning sprints and coordinating releases, pilots etc.
Engage with external vendors as necessary to deliver all or parts of the project requirements.
Coordinate integration testing (cross-team), UAT sign-off and production pilots.
Ensure that any risks, slippage or functional compromises are communicated to the relevant stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
Engage with global program management to report progress on milestones/achievements as well as risks/schedule changes.
Experience / Competences
Essential
Proven experience running and managing large-scale Agile projects across cross-functional teams.
Formal project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or SAFe.
Strong leadership in delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Ability to lead Agile ceremonies and adapt delivery approaches to suit business needs.
Desired
Solid experience managing books of work in Jira, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and cross-team coordination.
Skilled in project reporting using Jira, including dashboards, burndown charts, and custom reporting for stakeholders.
Familiarity with Agile portfolio management tools such as Advanced Roadmaps, BigPicture, or Structure.
Experience working in hybrid delivery environments combining Agile and traditional methodologies.
Exposure to digital transformation, cloud migration, or enterprise software delivery projects.
