Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced and talented Technical Program Manager to join the Collaboration Services team responsible for the global footprint of collaboration platforms including E-mail, Chat, Web Conferencing, and Telephony. This position will help us drive adoption of our Microsoft 365 platform across the org. They will help with education and training. This position is at the center of an exciting space with rapidly changing technology and capabilities. This Technical Program Manager position will require you to work cross-functionally with business leaders, engineering teams, marketing, finance and internal customers to drive progress towards goals. You’ll have the opportunity to do all this while maintaining a high quality of life. Travel is minimal, hours are usually reasonable and family priorities are taken into consideration. Responsibilities

Manage specific programs/projects that have a distinct beginning and end. Develop and maintain program/project plan and schedule utilizing corporate standard PM software. Assist team members in planning, estimating, and controlling tasks. Ensure that interfaces are recognized and tasks are integrated. Perform critical path analysis and develop action plans to mitigate risk. Identify and implement alternative solutions.  Deliver a variety of presentations in support of the program objectives

Define program/project resource plan, including internal and contract resources. Develop the business case for technology programs/ projects.  Recruit external partners and manage new partner application and contract renewal process. Present the program to potential partners. Monitor and analyze performance of partners through evaluations and other quantifiable means; monitor and enforce applicable requirements

Monitor program/project to ensure completion within defined schedule, budget, and quality parameters.  Prepare and distribute various reports and updates on the status of the program to various audiences, including executive management, functional management

Effectively contract and communicate with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with program/project management services and product delivery. Work proactively with the client to resolve critical issues. Develop strong client and stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels. Consult with others on development and execution of complex program/project plans. Define practices and processes for managing client and stakeholder expectations

Analyze program/project metrics and trends to evaluate success of overall program. Anticipate potential issues and implement appropriate remedies

Monitor program/project strategies, tactics and procedures to meet changing needs of partners and the business. Gather feedback from partners through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, surveys, and other methods. Maintain the efficient and effective operation of the program by implementing changes as required

Interface with various functional groups, program/project teams and other stakeholders to effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to program success. Implement and improve procedures and processes to optimize program effectiveness

Serve as internal spokesperson for the program/project. Plan content and deliver internal and external program communications to the appropriate audience through various channels, including email, direct mailings, conferences, seminars, and road shows

Ensure clear and consistent information is distributed to partners and customers. Define content of program, both internal and external to ensure consistent and accurate messaging. Publish reference materials, brochures, and other program collateral as appropriate

Assist with the coordination and facilitation of meetings (e.g., daily stand-up, backlog grooming, sprint planning, release planning, and sprint retrospectives); adapt process as required to maximize each team's success

Working with Service Planners and other Project Managers on initiatives aimed at improving organization-wide processes, tools and culture

Coordinating and scheduling the execution of deliverables across multiple teams

Participate in pre-planning activities to inform decision making and business goal validation

Guide the team in refining and managing the product backlog to deliver consistent business value

Facilitating the removal of tactical and organizational impediments to team progress

Identifying and coordinating dependencies with external teams

Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information of the team status and issues

Minimum Qualifications

5 to 7+ years of relevant working experience in IT related projects

Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Suite (specifically Microsoft Teams and Sharepoint) required

Collaborative, Agile environment experience

Proven project manager skills and ability to structure, describe and present complex issues within the management and accounting reporting area

Proactive approach to work assignments

Structured, analytical, pragmatic troubleshooter, and a good team player

Certified Agile/Scrum Product Owner or Certified Scrum Professional preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with Business Management (or related field), or equivalent work experience required

Aha! Knowledge is a plus

Solid communication skills both written and verbal

Strong planning skills

High levels of professional confidence and business acumen

Must have excellent organizational skills

The Ideal Candidate

Manages internal programs/projects from initiation through delivery, including planning/project control and status reporting, team management, and related troubleshooting and problem resolution to ensure completion of assigned program/project is on schedule and within budget

Interprets program/project requirements considering both internal and market drivers, and converts them to program deliverables

Organizes program/project activities and interdepartmental meetings; identifies and communicates program/projects scope and ensures program milestones and objectives are met

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $117,100 and $189,420. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
