Technical Program Manager II, Software Release, Android CoreOS
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. + 2 years of experience in program management. + Experience in managing programs across the entire software development lifecycle. + Experience in Software Release Management with focus on release tooling and metrics. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for Release Management of Mainline. You will work closely with Software Engineers, Technical Program Managers and Engineering Productivity (Build and Quality) to ensure Mainline releases are launched and completed on time with no negative impact on our user base (all Android Q+ devices). You will need excellent communication skills to be the point of contact for all questions about schedules, quality, and progress updates. You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, making sound judgements about quality, and stopping (or speeding up) production at the right time.Android is Google’s open-source mobile operating system powering more than 3 billion devices worldwide. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
