Technical Program Manager

Job Description Manage projects from inception to release or full project life cycle. Facilitate,
lead and record team project meetings. Deliver engagements within the
constraints of schedule, features/functionality, and budget. Utilizes analytical
skills to make critical decisions and recommendations to solve project-related
problems. Responsible for masterminding, outlining, and developing projects.
Design the project goals and success markers, determine how success will be
measured and tracked. Ensure the project remains on time and on budget and
help motivate team members to hit their goals. Serve as a liaison between the
project team and senior management. Prepare and present progress reports
and ensure the project is furthering organizational goals. Multi-task various
operational requirements in a fast-paced environment. Provide leadership to the
staff to maintain a culture of exceeding customers' expectations in terms of
providing cost-effective solutions as well as an unwavering commitment to our
customer partners

The responsibilities of this position will include but will not be limited to the following:

- The management of projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.

- The adoption and adaptation of project management methodologies based on the context of the project and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approach or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.

Maintain a standard approach for project management

Start up and initiate project and manage stakeholder engagement

Develop & maintain project plan, manage project resources/work packages

Monitor & control projects and manage project quality & risks

Close a project or iteration

Develop detailed resource support/technical/operational specs & manuals

Identify & develop required processes & procedures for resources

Develop service & operational agreements for resources. Gain service & operational agreements approval for resources

Produce supporting documentation & training packages for resources

Manage resource process & procedure implementation

Manage resource operational staff training. Develop resource Supplier/Partner Operational support

Manage resource acceptance testing

Manage resource capability delivery and ensure capability quality

Configure, implement, and activate resources

KPIs:

Project Delivery Time: Measure the average time taken to complete projects compared to their initial timelines.

Project Budget Adherence: Track project budgets to ensure they stay within the allocated budget constraints.

Resource Utilization: Monitor the efficient use of project resources, including team members and budgetary allocations.

Project Success Rate: Evaluate the percentage of projects completed successfully within scope, on time, and on budget.

Stakeholder Satisfaction: Gather feedback from project stakeholders to assess their satisfaction with project management processes and outcomes

TOP 3-5 DELIVERABLES:

Project Plans: Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that include scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and milestones for each project within the portfolio.

Status Reports: Generate regular status reports that provide updates on project progress, issues, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for stakeholders.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation Plans: Create risk assessment documents and mitigation plans for projects, outlining potential risks, their impact, and strategies for risk mitigation.

Portfolio Review: Conduct periodic portfolio reviews to assess project performance, alignment with organizational goals, and overall portfolio health.

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

Work Experience

At least 8+ years of work experience as a Project Manager, with relevant experience in Enterprise Data or Data/Reports related projects.

Solid in project/program management methodologies and tools

Proven track record of executing large-scale projects (>$1Mn)

Solid understanding of technologies to manage dependencies

Ideally managed larger organizational / technology transformation projects

Experience in predictive project management. Experience in agile project management is optional

Understanding of interfaces and E2E requirements to manage and leverage Tooling, Automation, Analytics

Level of Knowledge: 2, 3

Level 2 – Experienced: 3-4 years of work experience in the desired / closely related area(s)

Level 3 – Solid: 5-7 years of work experience in the desired / closely related area(s)
