Technical Program Manager, WWGST Checkout Engineering
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our World Wide Grocery Store Tech (WWGST) Checkout Engineering team in Austin, TX. This strategic role will drive the most critical and complex programs across our entire checkout technology portfolio, including global payments, US and international POS systems, boundary system integrations, quality assurance, and program management teams.

The ideal candidate will own the "when" of delivering our highest-priority initiatives, while playing a crucial role in defining the "what" and "how" of our most strategic solutions. Reporting directly to the Director of Checkout Engineering, you will be the driving force behind our most impactful programs, leading and influencing across technical and non-technical teams throughout the organization.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior TPM in the WFM Checkout Engineering team, you will:

*Own delivery timelines ("when") for strategic, multi-team initiatives across the entire checkout technology portfolio
*Shape solution architecture and feature prioritization ("what") in partnership with senior technical leaders and product managers
*Guide implementation strategies and technical approaches ("how") across multiple engineering teams
*Coordinate with other program managers to drive operational excellence
*Develop and maintain integrated roadmaps across checkout engineering workstreams
*Orchestrate cross-team dependencies and resource allocation to optimize delivery
*Drive architectural decisions that affect multiple teams and systems
*Identify and mitigate organization-wide risks and technical debt
*Establish program-level KPIs and success metrics that align with organizational objectives
*Facilitate executive-level communication and strategic planning
*Identify and manage critical cross-team dependencies and resource constraints across all teams to optimize delivery and reduce risks
*Partner with Checkout Engineering leaders on strategic planning and organizational design
*Drive cross-team architecture and design reviews
*Represent the organization in senior-level planning and strategy sessions
*Drive continuous improvement in program management practices and tools
