Technical Program Manager, Google Play Business Generation
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. + 2 years of experience in program management. + Experience in process management, leadership and software development. Preferred qualifications: + Experience with product testing and releases. + Experience managing cross-functional engineering organizations with dependencies, stakeholders, and partners. + Ability to produce project plans and documents that communicate status, scope, timelines, task planning, action items, risks, issues, project dependencies, test planning, or rollout planning. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users. + Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact. + Manage the organization’s portfolio for planning and prioritization, partner with Engineering and Product, drive Roadmap/Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) planning, milestones, and the feature development lifecycle for business-critical projects. + Design processes and introduce governance to improve communication. + Partner with engineering and product management directors to support organization execution, and drive innovation and manage technical dependencies across the stack. + Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
