Technical Program Manager, Data Center Network Infrastructure Construction
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related degree, or equivalent practical experience. + 5 years of experience in telecommunications, low-voltage, fiber-optics, or critical systems construction management. + Experience managing vendor relationships and with standard practices in the design and construction industry. + Experience working in data centers or similar mission critical environments. + Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving objectives on schedule and within budget. + Experience in program management in the networking area delivering infrastructure assets. Preferred qualifications: + RCDD, PMP, or similar industry certifications. + OSHA certification. + Understanding of large-scale facility electrical and mechanical systems relative to network infrastructure. + Knowledge of fast-track design build processes. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your technical and leadership expertise, you run Engineering-focused projects that are well-defined under supervision. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Work with customers to develop project scopes, manage project schedules, identify risks and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders. + Work with project teams that span offices, time zones and hemispheres. Keep all the stakeholders coordinated and informed on the project's progress and schedule. + Manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of the programs.
