Technical Program Coordinator Print (https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/louisiana/jobs/newprint/5038365) Apply  Technical Program Coordinator Salary $0.00 Annually Location Gonzales, LA Job Type Unclassified Job Number 209867 Department River Parishes Community College Opening Date 08/08/2025 Closing Date 8/8/2025 11:59 PM Central + Description + Benefits About this Job POSITION TITLE Technical Program Coordinator APPOINTMENT Appointed by the Chancellor of the College upon recommendation of Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Student Success LINE AND STAFF RELATIONSHIPS Directly responsible to the Deans of 1) Health Sciences, 2) Energy Sciences, and 3) CTE GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY The Technical Program Coordinator at River Parishes Community College is a full-time, grant-funded staff position that provides essential administrative and operational support to the college’s technical programs, including those in Health Sciences, Energy Sciences, and Career and Technical Education (CTE). Reporting directly to the respective Deans, the coordinator facilitates effective communication with students, faculty, and external stakeholders; assists in tracking student progress; supports admissions and work-based learning activities; organizes advisory and faculty meetings; and ensures compliance with accreditation and reporting requirements. Additionally, the coordinator plays a key role in managing faculty contracts, purchasing processes, and supply inventories, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of RPCC’s technical education initiatives. The pay for the position is $55,000. Minimum Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS · Associate degree · At least two years’ experience working in a professional capacity in an office setting · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and Virtual meeting platforms (e.g. Teams, Zoom, Webex) · Customer service experience · Ability to travel to multiple RPCC locations · Organized and detail oriented PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor’s degree · Experience using Ellucian Banner Student Information System · Experience using Canvas Learning Management System · Case Management/Database experience · Student advising experience in a higher education setting Job Duties and Other Information DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Program Coordination (90%) · Facilitates communication efforts between the Deans and various stakeholders including students, prospective students, and business/industry partners by answering questions via phone, walk-in, text messaging, and/or electronic correspondence. · Support technical program leadership with monitoring and tracking student progress in each technical program for reporting purposes. · Assists with the admissions process for any selective admission technical programs. · Coordinates Advisory Committee meetings, maintains lists of Advisory Committee members, and maintains meeting minutes. · Assists with technical program faculty meetings and maintains meeting minutes. · Supports technical program leadership and Career Success Office with coordination of work-based learning experiences for technical program students (apprenticeships, internships, clinical experiences, externships). · Establishes and maintains filing system (electronic and physical) for external agencies that partner with the College. · Performs monthly compliance reporting and maintains compliance reporting records for technical programs. · Assists with technical program audits and compliance with accreditation/state board expectations. · Serves on and communicates with the college’s Carl Perkins Grant Team. · Assists with coordination technical program graduation/pinning ceremonies. · Supports events and information sessions related to technical programming. Additional Program Coordination (10%) · Assists with issuance of faculty contracts for programs of study · Coordinates the purchase requisition process for programs of study. · Coordinates application of course fees and manages purchasing process related to course fees. · Coordinates supply inventory in the faculty workroom.
