Job Description

Summary:

Rockwell Automation is looking for a technical product owner for the FactoryTalk® Analytics™ PavilionX™ previously Pavilion8® product. Pavilion supports engineer and knowledge guided causal ML for Advanced Control and Environmental Compliance Solutions with any control system.

A technical product owner coordinates with product management and the engineering organization to manage day-to-day achievement of customer value propositions targeted for release. The product owner participates in daily standups and jira clarification discussions toward clarifying engineering questions or short term opportunities to achieve efficient rapid innovation and customer value, while still achieving the targeted customer requirements. There is significant critical discretion in these decisions that are critical for achieving release time frames, while accepting appropriate short cuts that only in smaller ways impact customer value delivered within product releases.

You will report to the Manager, FactoryTalk® Analytics™ PavilionX™ and work onsite in Pune, India

Your Responsibilities:Participation in daily standup meetings and sprint review and update meetingsParticipation in and providing guidance on sprint demo planning and presentationMeeting regularly with, understanding and keeping apprised product management on achievement and release targetsLearning user workflows on the product sufficiently to be able to provide useful customer representation in engineering decisionsOngoing Jira review and updates toward clarifying decisions on product directions agreed toward value achievementClarifying product management decisions with the priority that targeted customer value and release timeframes are achieved.Review and participation in Jama requirement definitions toward delivery efficiencies (i.e., clarity) and achievement of product improvements

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.At least 10 or more years of professional experience.An ideal background would be an engineering background in product development role plus technical background associated with the technologies used in Pavilion. This can include:APC or MPC (advanced process control or model predictive control) background including:o   Robust control modelso   Dynamic and Stedy State modelingo   Closed loop integrationo   Advanced PID integrationo   OPC and other data connection technologieso   Data qualityo   Nonlinear MPCo   Real Time Optimizationo   Decoupling, disturbance rejection, multivariate coordination, constraint enforcement and dynamic compensationML/AI (machine learning/artificial intelligence) background particularly on model development and streaming workflows including:o   Explainability and interpretabilityo   Causal AIo   Data wrangling/preparationo   Data Scienceo   Connectivity and tracabilityo   MLOpso   Knowledge of ML algorithmso   Statistical Analysiso   Cloud AI platforms like AzureAIo   Optimization Algorithms
