Technical Product Manager V
What You'll Do As Technical Product Manager in Content Engineering, your goals are to define product vision, work with partners to define roadmap that embeds Generative AI capabilities in the product and work with engineers to define and track execution plan. You will present progress updates and demonstrate new product capabilities to leadership and to other stakeholders. Avalara is an AI-first company. Compliance content is important to Avalara and the Content Engineering department uses latest technologies to handle compliance content at scale, maintaining Avalara's competitive edge. You will help define solutions that can scale even more. You will report to Director of Engineering within Content Engineering in India. We are open to both Remote and Pune-based candidates. #LI-Remote What Your Responsibilities Will Be Product strategy and vision Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Content Engineering, aligning them with Avalara's overall business goals and customer needs. Define new features in Content Engineering to make operations more efficient for content researchers. Communicate product vision and strategy to stakeholders, including executives, engineering teams and customers. Cross-functional leadership Collaborate with content researchers, engineers, and designers to define, prioritize, and execute product initiatives. Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and ensure delivery of high-quality features. Play diverse roles as needed to make progress and to disambiguate requirements Product development and execution Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to testing, deployment, and iteration. Manage the backlog, prioritizing features and improvements based on customer feedback, market research, and growth. Focus on scalability, performance, continuous improvement Data-driven decision making Use data to inform product decisions, leveraging metrics, user feedback, and A/B testing to guide development priorities. Monitor user feedback and product performance post-launch and identify areas for improvement and optimization. What You'll Need to be Successful Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering on Computer Science and higher degree or certification in Machine Learning. Product Management Experience: Experience managing SaaS or Web-based products from conception to launch for at least 12+ years with 5+ years using Machine Learning as part of product; experience defining roadmaps, prioritization, and stakeholder management. Envisage new products from the perspective of the end user in B2B and B2C contexts. Experience driving requirements discovery, collaborating with engineering team on effort estimates, conducting user survey post-launch and triaging requests. Technical Skills: Software development principles, Software performance metrics, Agile methodology, Generative AI concepts & tools, Embedding Machine Learning solutions as part of software.
