This role requires a blend of strategic vision and executional excellence, with a focus on leading high-impact projects, collaborating across departments, and shaping scalable frameworks aligned with business priorities. Stakeholder management is a core aspect of this role, requiring the ability to influence and align with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Technical Product Manager
We Will Count on You to:
Partner with business leaders to create and executing a multi-year vision for their portfolio of applications. This vision includes a point-of-view on the future role of technology for that business or functional area (new technology requirements), application disposition, build versus buy, sequence in which new functionality will be developed (macro), modernization approach, application retirement, portfolio ROI planning etc.
Manage portfolio budget and driving responsible development defined as on-time and on-budget development of new capabilities aligned to enterprise standards as well as appropriate ongoing management of those applications in partnership with Marsh’s shared service leaders. Balancing CTB and RTB spend across the portfolio including planning around application lifecycle. e.g. when does an application move into ‘maintenance’.
Proactively identify new technologies available in the marketplace to address specific business needs within their area of ownership so that technology can better serve as a strategic partner to the business.
Create a single point of accountability for customizations or variations needed by geography, business line, or department with the goal of avoiding custom solutions that create excess complexity and increase Marsh’s cost burden.
What You Need to Have:
Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of product development and technical proficiency.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
What Makes You Stand Out:
Experience in developing and executing multi-year technology visions and portfolio ROI planning.
Background in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
