As a Product Manager, you will lead the development of new capabilities supporting Ford Blue, Ford Pro, Model e, Marketing, and new market launches. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the product vision, driving operational excellence, and delivering solutions that enhance the Ford customer experience through highly available, real-time APIs and data-driven insights.
What You’ll have...
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in IT application/product development and delivery, preferably in real time APIs, customer analytics, big data, or related technology domains. Proven experience in establishing and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, products, and services. Strong technology know-how related to customer analytics and big data projects. Demonstrated ability to deliver on project commitments through leadership, strategic planning, rigorous execution, teamwork, and problem resolution. Excellent communication skills capable of translating complex technical ideas to stakeholders at all levels. Ability to effectively prioritize work across product teams and manage competing demands. Excellent people skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and coach team members. Experience in platform/product scalability, reliability engineering, and operational excellence. Familiarity with cloud orchestration, infrastructure as code (Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines), and automation. Working knowledge of Customer Digital Profile, Consent & Privacy management, data governance, AI/ML integration, or embedded software. Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities and matrixed reporting structures. What you’ll do...
Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for new capabilities, ensuring alignment of the roadmap and backlog with strategic objectives across various Ford business units. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define, advocate, and implement platform features and capabilities that align with the vision and objectives for products and services. Drive operational excellence focusing on performance, availability, and real-time responsiveness of key APIs to enhance customer experience. Implement automation, process improvements, and lifecycle management initiatives that optimize product delivery and foster a culture of reuse and deprecation. Analyze existing products and datasets to identify business value, data quality improvements, and technical opportunity areas. Utilize data-driven approaches, including product experiments, user interviews, and metrics analysis, to gather customer feedback, validate assumptions, and continuously improve the product experience. Coordinate and facilitate team velocity, aligning cross-functional teams, managing capacity, and cultivating collaborative and high-performance work environments. Work hands-on with development teams to prioritize, plan, and deliver features that meet product requirements. Translate product vision and strategy into precise, actionable product artifacts, such as Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), to foster shared understanding and efficient execution across engineering, design, and business teams. Influence and guide the planning and execution of product increments by actively shaping Agile ceremonies, including Wave and Iteration planning, feature grooming, and capacity commitments, to optimize team efficiency and product delivery. Conduct product reviews and communicate program status, issues, risks, and plans effectively to executive leadership. Identify and promote accomplishments and success stories to internal communications teams.
