TelevisaUnivision (KMEX) has an immediate opening for a Technical Operator responsible for working as a team with editorial staff and field crews in acquiring
and routing live signals and operating equipment for the News operation.

Rate range: $65.62/H

YOUR DAY-DAY:

Knowledge of Microwave, Satellite and Fiber Optics (transmit and receive) a must.Knowledge of LiveU workflow and IP news gathering a must.Excellent computer skillsKnowledge of news gathering and broadcast operations equipment.Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environmentMust be a self-starter with excellent organizational skillsExcellent people and communication skillsDuties include acquiring, coordinating and routing of multiple feeds via microwave, satellite and fiber optics featuring different aspect ratios and multiple channels of audio.Monitor outbound distribution feeds, quickly resolve technical transmission issues.Coordinate with various Broadcast facilities, ENG Trucks, Earth Stations and in-house staff on all transmission & receive related technical issues.

YOU HAVE:

A successful candidate must have a sound understanding of RF and evolving technologies including LiveU with the ability to multi-task under deadline pressures. Bring a “can-do” approach to problem solving ina fast paced-high energy environment.Also, open to implementing new technologies and/or methods to accomplish future assignments.Sound technical decisions and personal composure under pressureSafely operate news gathering equipment.Edit stories quickly and accurately (Avid Media Central)ENG truck operation skills a plusUnderstanding of various video codecs and formatsCapturing and Ingesting content off of the webFlexible with schedule.Unrestricted work authorization in the USA
