Human Resource Contact: 307-777-4356 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level. + Performs repairs and upgrades on electronic traffic monitoring and communication equipment + Trains office personnel on the use of equipment + Researches new traffic monitoring equipment + Isolates failed traffic monitoring devices, repairs, and bench tests equipment to ensure proper operation + Trains personnel on traffic monitoring equipment hardware and software and ensures they understand before deploying to the field + Trains personnel on the use of field test equipment + Field coordination + Reviews the list of failed traffic, and monitoring sites and determines what action needs to be taken + Leads the construction crew in the absence of the field technician + Travels statewide to troubleshoot recurring field problems + Liaisons with equipment vendors to research, purchase, and resolve problems with monitoring equipment + Works with vendors to resolve problems Qualifications KNOWLEDGE: + Skilled in the use of electronic test equipment + Skilled in the use of personal computers and various software programs + Able to communicate complex principles of electronic equipment operations to personnel with limited background in the field MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience: 0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Technical Operations) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Technical Operations Technician I Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Some agencies may require a valid Class C driver's license.
