GFiber’s complex network generates a constant stream of new challenges that require innovative solutions and leveraging the newest technologies. As Technical Operations Manager, ISP Operations, you will ensure that existing network operations are reliable and efficient as well as being a key contributor of network expansion. You’ll accomplish this by monitoring network performance, performing planned maintenance, proactively identifying/repairing network difficulties, and responding to network connectivity challenges. In your role, you and your team will keep the network stable and ensure that our users stay connected with our suite of applications, products, and services. You will perform critical tasks that maintain and improve network operations, and you will take the technical lead in ensuring a reliable and efficient operating network.
**Role Description**
The Technical Operations ISP Manager is responsible for Inside Plant (ISP) deployment and ongoing facility / equipment maintenance throughout the market. As a Technical Operations Manager, you will ensure that Central Office (CO) network operations are reliable, secure, and efficient; monitor network performance, manage planned/proactive/reactive maintenance and repair, and respond to network connectivity issues. This role will report directly to the Repair and Maintenance Operations Lead for the market.
**In this role, you'll:**
+ Be responsible for planning, provisioning, commissioning, and maintaining all Central Office (CO) / HUT / PoP sites within the Market(s) Area as well as efficiently testing and accepting new facility elements such as: CO/HUT structure & footprint, Backbone Tie-in, site security, BNGs, CMODs, HVAC, Electrical, DC controllers, power and gas back-up systems, etc.
+ Actively participate in overall network design, growth and maintenance with larger cross-functional market team.
+ Create and maintain a CO/HUT maintenance schedule leveraging cross-Market / Region experiences and collaborating across functional teams.
+ Collaborate and coordinate with Network Operating Center (NOC) and Plant Maintenance Technicians (PMTs) to facilitate equipment maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
+ Develop project documentation and create reports and presentations to communicate project updates to GFiber Leadership.
+ Assist with activation, testing, and acceptance of distribution fiber.
**At a minimum we'd like you to have:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent practice experience.
+ 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry working with Inside Plant (ISP) or working with Inside Plant within a Data Center.
+ 5 years of experience in a vendor management role with customer-facing responsibilities.
+ Experience managing vendors, contracts, budgets on large-scale and complex projects.
**It's preferred if you have:**
+ 8 years experience in the telecommunications industry working with Inside Plant (ISP) or working with Inside Plant within a Data Center.
+ Experience managing large scale projects and initiatives from start to finish with proven success.
+ Proven success working collaboratively on cross-functional, and highly collaborative teams.
+ Flexibility to adapt as role evolves and changes.
+ Experience with overseeing change management process and working cross functionally with the Network Operations Center (NOC).
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $114,000 - $126,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
