Technical Monitoring Specialist

We work as a team, and we’re proud of the difference we make to customers, to local communities, and towards a sustainable future for the world. We’re looking for a Remote Monitoring Specialist in our Remote Operations Center (ROC) in New Iberia, LA to provide technical assistance to Aggreko customers and internal staff daily, focusing on equipment performance, operation, and maintenance

What you will do:   

 

You will work a 7-on, 7-off rotating shift at the ROC in New Iberia, LA, providing 24/7 technical support on Aggreko equipment performance, operation, and maintenance   

The Remote Monitoring Specialist at Aggreko plays a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support for the company's 24/7 operations 

This position involves monitoring and diagnosing equipment performance, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of power, air handling, and temperature control equipment 

The specialist will work in a rotating shift schedule, focusing on customer service and technical problem-solving to enhance operational efficiency 

Provide technical assistance to Aggreko customers and internal staff daily, focusing on equipment performance, operation, and maintenance 

Monitor, diagnose, and analyze incoming alarms, following established protocols for troubleshooting and defining maintenance procedures 

Utilize the ARM (Aggreko Remote Monitoring) system to remotely monitor Aggreko power, compressed air, and temperature control equipment 

Report malfunctions, notify customers of irregularities promptly, and track alarm events using Tracker Technology 

Escalate unresolved issues and initiate service dispatch as needed 

Thoroughly document events using appropriate software, incorporating feedback from field technicians to improve processes 

 

We are experts, which means you will have the following skills and experience:   

Associate degree / Technical school / Or Equivalent years of experience  

3-5 years of experience working on power generators, commercial HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) equipment, and/or oil free air compressors, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs  

Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills  

Ability to perform regular data analysis preventing equipment failures   

Ability to use web-based SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) type systems, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems (MOVEX) and analytical tools such as ABI or equivalent
