Technical Marketing Manager - Product Ownership Team
Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to manage our Product Owner team, which is responsible for delivering a broad portfolio of software products. This role will oversee a team of experienced Product Owners and Technical Product Managers who translate marketing strategies and requirements into actionable product specifications, ensuring alignment across R&D, marketing, and other key functions. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software product management, agile methodologies, and cross-functional leadership. This role is pivotal in driving the execution of product vision, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. 

You should bring comprehensive knowledge of product ownership and management, including experience working with globally distributed, multifunctional teams. The team you will lead is based in both the USA and Europe. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for success in this position. You’ll be working closely with R&D, product marketing, product support, quality, and service delivery teams. 

You will have experience with various product delivery models, including both waterfall and agile, and a particular interest in agile methodologies that emphasize iterative value delivery. 

A solid understanding of technical architecture, constraints, and opportunities across the product portfolio is also required. Technical experience in the following areas is preferred: web applications, APIs, laboratory instrument data integrations, data analytics and ETL pipelines, enterprise CRM systems, AI/ML technologies and techniques. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Product Owners and Technical Product Managers; oversee team operations. 

Define and own team processes, including Product Owner workflows and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle. 

Drive continuous improvement in product delivery through process definition, goal setting, and refinement. 

Support team resourcing and prioritization across projects and initiatives. 

Define roles, responsibilities, and resource needs based on a deep understanding of team functions. 

Ensure that functional policies, processes, and projects align with tactical business plans. 

Exercise autonomy in resolving technical and operational challenges within the department. 

Resolve conflicting priorities and provide guidance on complex challenges and assignments. 

Manage resources to implement tactical business plans and deliver projects and programs. 

Develop operational plans and manage budgets, schedules, and performance standards to meet departmental and organizational goals. 

Collaborate internally and externally on initiatives related to organizational goals and processes. 

Lead projects or initiatives with impact beyond the immediate team. 

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) with directly relevant experience. 

2+ years of experience formally or informally leading people, projects, or programs. 

10+ years of experience working on product delivery teams as a product manager, technical product manager, product owner, project manager, or similar role. 

Strong background in software product management, agile methodologies, and cross-functional leadership.

Experience working with globally distributed, multifunctional teams.

Technical experience in the following areas is preferred: web applications, APIs, laboratory instrument data integrations, data analytics and ETL pipelines, enterprise CRM systems, AI/ML technologies and techniques. 

Additional Details

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $139,440.00 - $261,450.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
