Trane Technologies is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Technical Manager – Engineering Design. In this role you will provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for SBU engagement from Definition phase through Release. You will lead simple to complex projects or phases of a project to ensure the completion of milestones against a committed timeline. Projects could be NPD, NTP, Q&R, Productivity, RTS type. In this role you call for collaboration with cross-functional, multi-location teams and mentoring design engineers to ensure that the projects are accomplished to high quality, adhering to our standard processes, systems and project management principles, while remaining aligned with the strategy and goals of the organization.

Where is the work:
Hybrid: This position has been designated as a Hybrid based out of Bangalore work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What will you do:
In this role you will:
· Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for SBU engagement from Definition phase through Release
· Apply your experience and knowledge of industry trends to improve service to our SBU partners
· Review work of Design Engineering team
· Recognize design deficiencies and implement effective solutions
· Provide directions in setting up the right Development Plans for Design Engineers
· Identify the project risks and mitigation plans throughout the project from definition phase through release
· Perform Design reviews and mentor Design Engineers
· Consistently deliver high-quality Design deliverables
· Support People Manager in effective management of MDI boards
· Lead design and drawing reviews with cross functional groups (engineering SME's, manufacturing, service, and etc.) focus on critical areas of unit design for discussion. This will include helping Design/Sr Design Engineers create and communicate different concepts/options and providing direction and input on final design approach
What you will bring:
