**The Role**
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technical Manager to join our team. As the Technical Manager, you will be the single point of contact, leading and managing all technical operations for a key regional client account. This role demands a strong technical engineering background and a hands-on approach, offering the chance to significantly impact operational excellence and client satisfaction.
**A typical day may involve;**
A typical workday for our Technical Manager encompasses a dynamic blend of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement in operational execution. Responsibilities include:
+ Overseeing the seamless and efficient functioning of all facility systems, ensuring optimal performance and unwavering reliability.
+ Leading, managing, and developing a team of skilled technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical proficiency.
+ Anticipating and proactively addressing potential challenges, ensuring efficient solutions and minimizing operational disruptions.
+ Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the client, to ensure alignment and exceed expectations.
+ Implementing and refining preventive maintenance programs, while ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
+ Analyzing operational data to inform strategic decisions, leveraging insights to optimize performance and drive continuous improvement.
+ Contributing to a forward-thinking environment, actively exploring and implementing innovative technical solutions to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
+ Ensuring the efficient, reliable, and cost-effective operation of all facility systems, with a commitment to hands-on involvement.
+ Driving client satisfaction through proactive communication, responsive service, and a dedication to exceeding expectations.
+ Developing and mentoring a high-performing technical team, fostering professional growth and technical expertise.
+ Optimizing operational costs through efficient maintenance practices, energy management strategies, and innovative solutions.
**Requirements:**
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical services or a related discipline, with a strong emphasis on technical engineering.
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred), Facilities Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
+ Proven leadership and team management skills, including experience in performance management, training, and development.
+ Demonstrated expertise in building systems, including HVAC, Electrical, and Mechanical systems. This role requires a deep understanding and hands-on experience with these systems.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
+ Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing complex technical issues, with a willingness to engage in on-site troubleshooting.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
+ Must be willing and able to be on-call 24/7 to respond to critical incidents and ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
