We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Technical Lead to oversee the development and technical delivery of ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, drive code quality, enforce platform best practices, and collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and business analysts to ensure successful implementation of ServiceNow modules and customizations. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex configurations across a global delivery model.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of ServiceNow developers to design, configure, and implement high-quality solutions across modules like ITSM, CSM, ITOM, SecOps, HAM/SAM, and custom applications.
Translate solution designs and functional specifications into technical tasks and drive them through the SDLC.
Perform code reviews, validate adherence to ServiceNow best practices, and ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable configurations.
Work closely with Solution Architects and Technical Program Managers to validate design feasibility, estimate efforts, and align with overall delivery timelines.
Own the technical quality of releases, manage sprint backlogs, and drive defect resolution and unit testing.
Mentor junior developers and create a culture of continuous improvement, peer learning, and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with Platform Engineering teams on environment setup, CI/CD pipelines, cloning strategy, and performance tuning.
Contribute to the development of technical standards, reusable components, and accelerators.
Minimum Qualifications:
6–9 years of experience in ServiceNow development and technical delivery, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior developer role
Strong proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, UI Policies, Business Rules, Script Includes, Workflows, Flow Designer, and REST/SOAP integrations
Proven ability to lead distributed teams and deliver in Agile or hybrid delivery models
Solid understanding of CMDB, data models, and integration design patterns
Familiarity with security standards, performance optimization, and troubleshooting tools
Certifications (Required or Preferred):
Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – at least one (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, SecOps)
Certified Application Developer (CAD) – required
ITIL v4 Foundation – preferred
Preferred Experience:
Experience leading offshore/nearshore ServiceNow development teams
Exposure to ServiceNow DevOps, CI/CD tooling, GitHub, or automated testing
Familiarity with Scoped Applications, App Engine Studio, or custom store apps
Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to interact with functional stakeholders and architects
