What you’ll do

 

As a Development Expert, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native solutions. You will lead and contribute to forward-looking acceleration and innovation initiatives, with a strong emphasis on distributed programming, data management, and systems integration.

Your primary responsibility will be to design and deliver end-to-end data and integration solutions leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and big data ecosystems. This role is critical to enabling seamless business processes across SAP and non-SAP landscapes, while driving technical excellence, innovation, and alignment with enterprise-level Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.

As a Development Expert (f/m/d), you will:

End-to-End Solutions Development Experture: Design and lead the implementation of standard integrated or custom SAP cloud-native solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals. Architect and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance distributed applications and services. Lead integration architecture and implementation using SAP BTP and modern big data technologies. Enable data-driven business processes by connecting SAP and non-SAP systems across complex IT landscapes. Collaborate cross-functionally with business, architecture, and development teams to deliver impactful solutions. Ensure performance, security, and compliance standards are met across all stages of solution delivery. Support innovation initiatives that align with enterprise GTM goals.

 

What you bring

 

Proven track record in delivering and operating cloud-native products. 8+ years of experience in software development. Deep knowledge of distributed computing concepts. Strong ability to drive continuous improvement and technical excellence. In-depth knowledge of Java and exposure to functional programming. Experience with microservice architectures, message-based systems. A collaborative team player with cross-cultural awareness, particularly in Germany and India. A self-motivated, innovative mindset with a “can-do” attitude. An agile and cloud-first mindset.

Optional skills:

Knowledge of SAP Asset Performance Management. Familiarity with product standards (e.g., security, performance). Hands-on expertise in third-party services integration (e.g., Apache Kafka, Redis). Exposure to Software AG Cumulocity IoT , Dremio Data Lake, Spark. Strong background in cloud technology and feature-driven development, particularly on SAP BTP.
