Technical Lead - Hardware System IVV Engineer
Thales India Engineering Competency Center (ECC) in Bangalore is seeking for an experienced and versatile IVV engineer to join our Flight avionics team dedicated to system integration, verification, and validation of avionics product, as well as a understanding of safety standards and aeronautical regulations.
In this role, you will be in charge of System IVV Engineering activities to demonstrate the compliance and functionalities of equipment in front of system requirements and architecture. You will be developing IVV procedures/approaches, support in system requirement validation and integration/verification of critical calculators, IMA (Integrated Modular Avionics) and visus cockpits for aircraft, helicopters and future flying taxis (eVTOL). Your scope of responsibility is aeronautical equipment level and addresses the Hardware and software system aspects.
Qualifications: B.E./B. Tech or Masters in Electronics Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience in aeronautic. Higher qualifications of Post-graduation is desirable. Domain experience in civil Avionics design is desirable.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of IVV plans in collaboration with the IVV team.
Carry out the integration activities of avionics platform, including setting up test benches and simulation environments.
Design, execute, and analyze tests to verify and validate the functionalities and performances of products in accordance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
Document test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
Identify and resolve technical issues in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the aeronautical industry (DO-178C, DO-254, etc.).
Contribute to the continuous improvement of IVV processes.
Coordinate the specialists contributing to the definition of the technical solution, the safety and certification specialists.
Participate in the evolution of the business and the adaptation, improvement of internal practices and processes.
Required Skills:
Experience in System/hardware/software IVV activities for critical avionics systems.
Versatile profiles (Hardware/Software) for the verification of avionics platforms.
Software development skills (C) to create test applications.
In-depth knowledge of physical interfaces (digital buses A429, A818, LVDS, RS-485, Ethernet/A664, and analog interfaces).
Experience with internal monitoring and handling measurement devices (generators, oscilloscopes, bus analyser).
Knowledge of aeronautical standards and regulations (DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754, etc.).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Must have demonstrated leadership skills on complex topics.
Must be rigorous, organized, autonomous, pro-active and motivated to contain a position within a multidisciplinary team.
Should be familiar with multi-disciplinary team (BL engineering team, Lab technicians, external labs, Purchase team, ECC Engineering teams and manufacturing teams, …)
