Position Summary

The DevSecOPs Engineer - C++/Java is part of Thales AGS Enterprise Tools Team. This individual is responsible for design, implement, test and deploy SW features. He is contributing to developing, sustaining and supporting IFE tool Box features. To be successful, the candidate will need to have solid experience within the AGILE/SCRUM software development methodology, object-oriented programming concepts, and full software development life cycles.  The candidate should have sufficient technical and leadership skills to be a mentor to entry-level engineers and be able to work collaboratively with his/her team. This individual needs to be accountable for his/her commitment (both technically and behaviorally), be able to cooperate effectively, demonstrate willingness to lead/mentor others, and be adaptive in working with different stakeholders.

Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibility

Writing, testing, and documenting code for Software developmentProvide technical documentation for system, features, and componentsAutomated unit test for the developed featuresProvide thorough unit testing to ensure a quality product is deliveredSupport automated end to end testingFollow and support agile methodologies and practices by actively participating in all SCRUM ceremoniesExpected to improve, enhance, and support existing operationsDesigning, building, installing, configuring and supporting production deploymentsImplement and maintain security and data privacy best practicesCreate scalable and high-performance web services for data trackingTest prototypes and oversee handover to operational teamsProvide guidance and training to individuals and other functional groups as needed

Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related studyMinimum 10+ years hands on SW DevelopmentStrong experience in development with Java and/or C++ (.NET), or similar object-oriented languagesExperience in development with embedded SW applicationsExperience in development with structured and non-structured database such as SQL, MySQL, mongoDB etcExtensive experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence.Strong understanding of Qt GUI using Qt Widgets.Experience in developing REST APIsOAuth2, OpenID Connect, Azure AD authenticationExperience in implementing SAAS for solution monitoring is a plus (Datadog…)Understanding of Qt classes and hands on experience in using them.Experience in End to End TestingExperience in Integration Testing
