Technical Lead – Aerothermal Onsite (Gas Turbines)
Job Requirements
Provide Technical solutions in Aerothermal and CFD, Aeromechanics of Gas Turbine Aero Engines/Power Generation Components. Work hands-on and conduct reviews in these domains.Aerothermal & Aeromechanical analysis of gas turbine engine modules. CFD validation with test and engine data.Experience in FEA analysis (Static, Structural Dynamics, Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Analysis).Interact with functional as well as cross-functional global teams, present and participate in various global technical design reviews, gate reviews, technical / peer reviews etc.Carry out interviews and support the recruitment process for new hirings, carry out knowledge sharing sessions, guide/help team in understanding complex technical problems etc.Provide correct estimations of technical solutions. Planning Technical deliverables.

Work Experience

Key Competencies:

Technical Expertise in Aerothermal and CFD, Aeromechanics of Gas Turbine Aero Engines/Power Generation Components.Has hands on experience in Multistage Thermodynamic Analysis, Heat transfer Analysis, Thermal Stress Analysis.Has worked on Aerothermal and Aeromechanical analysis of hollow turbine blades, NGV, Analysis of Fir-Tree designs.Understands experimental flow testing and CFD cooling flow comparison with measurement.Collaborates cross-functionally with global teams in design, materials, and systems engineering to ensure design/repair feasibility and industrialization.Understand the Intellectual Property Rights of the components. Should be able to appreciate and respect the patents of components, features, production process and geography. domain wise and geographyAble to understand and interpret part drawing and manufacturing drawings. Able to understand and read Bill Of Materials.Prepares and delivers technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders, including leadership teams.Ensures thorough documentation and compliance with engineering policies, export control, and IP standards.Promote open communication and knowledge-sharing across teams, supporting continuous improvement.

Technical Expertise:

Solid understanding of gas turbine operation in Aero, land and marine sectors.CAD modeling Software: Siemens NXCAE Tools : Ansys Workbench (ICEMCFD, TurboGrid, Ansys Fluent, AnsysCFX), STARCCM+Rolls-Royce Tools : HYDRA System,AU3D System, SC03, SS02 (ParaView), Python.Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of tools like Excel Macros, NX, Teamcenter, PDM, and SAP is advantageous.

Requirements 

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in engineering analysis, manufacturing engineering, or aftermarket services for gas turbines.Proficiency in data analytics tools and condition-based monitoring systems.Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to performance optimization. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on team, quality and continuous improvement.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
