The Technical Lead, Software Engineer (Connectivity) Role
The Workflow Automation team is looking for a Technical Lead for Connectivity to join our Qlik Automate product development team. This role will specifically focus on connectivity development to internal APIs and external applications.
Qlik Automate plays a central role in automating and orchestrating inside Qlik Sense Cloud and allows customers to integrate seamlessly with 3rd party applications. We currently have a suite of 80+ internal and external connectors and plan on growing this in the future.
Here’s how you’ll be making an impact:
Maintain and improve our 80+ internal and external API connectors and help us grow our connector suite for enterprise customer use cases. Become an expert in Qlik’s APIs for products such as Qlik Sense, Qlik AutoMl, Qlik Talend Data Integration, Qlik Answers.Research external platforms (e.g. CRM systems like Salesforce, AI/ML platforms) and API documentation to design and implement the best connectivity approach. Perform manual and automated testing and write documentation for our connectors.Take a leading role in the agile delivery process by leading planning meetings, stand-ups, stakeholder demos and retrospectives. Support and mentor other connector team members and drive continuous improvement in the team. Coordinate closely with our stakeholders in product management and related development teams about delivery timelines and risks.Lead and coordinate seamless and high-quality connector releases in cooperation with documentation, QA, Product Management and our back-end tech lead.
We’re looking for a teammate with:
7+ years of relevant technical experience.3+ years of experience in a senior/ team lead roleStrong experience in Web APIs: REST, SOAP, GraphQL, oAuth, paging.Experience in data formats such as JSON, XML, CSV, Parquet, etc.Strong knowledge of Postman, SOAP UI.Knowledge of common network protocols: HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, etc.Experience with iPaaS platforms or ETL is a plus.Coding/scripting background, preferably in PHP (or willingness to learn PHP).Proficient in SQL queries and a good understanding of relational data models.Knowledge of Github Actions, ArgoCD is a big plusStrong communication skills.Proven experience building strong relationships with stakeholders.Knowledge of Qlik products (Qlik Sense, Qlik Talend Data Integration, ...) is a plus.
