Technical II, Telecom Infrastructure Operations & Analysis

Job Description

•\tAssist in planning, design, and implementation of telecommunication services
•\tDevelop detailed project plans, manage telecom projects from proposal to implementation
•\tWork closely with Clients, IT Network Team, Procurement and Vendors to ensure timely delivery of telecommunication needs.
•\tReview and maintain the Global Telecom Circuit Inventory and ensure timeliness of system update on any new circuit installation, bandwidth upgrade and circuit deactivation.
•\tCreate a forecast for worldwide telecom spend and perform monthly analysis of variance vs budget and vs actuals
•\tProvide a recommendation on ways to mitigate and improve telecom spend
•\tEstablish and maintain a standard telecom cost per seat for all geos
•\tAssist in the annual budgeting of telecom spend
•\tHighlight any delays and drive timely completion of telecom project
•\tEnsure timely renewal of expiring telecom circuits, and compute for any incremental spend and/or savings to be generated upon renewal, if there’s any
•\tEnsure timely and proper payment of billing to telecom vendors and prevent disconnection of any telecom services
•\tMonitor and report all over and under telco payment, and drive on time reconciliation and settlement with telecom vendors
•\tCreates weekly and monthly telecom spend and update management during monthly meeting
•\tInvestigate and report ambiguous telecom charges to IT
•\tHandle and review data circuits capacity and availability and ensure existing circuits have sufficient capacity to support existing and growth requirements
•\tHandles RFQ, RFP and commercial arrangements for data accounts
