Join us as a Technical Expert – Naval Military Structures Regulations. Position based in Courbevoie (La Défense) or Nantes.
Join a dynamic team: Within the Development Department of our Technical Division, you will play a key role in developing our technical and regulatory expertise in the field of military vessels.
Your main responsibilities:
Identify technical and regulatory development needs in collaboration with internal teams and industry stakeholders. Develop classification rules related to the structural aspects of military vessels, based on technical analyses and feedback. Actively contribute to the revision of classification rules concerning structural aspects, in connection with R&D initiatives. Provide technical support to operational and commercial teams. Participate in working groups and research projects within international organizations. Through your involvement in large-scale and innovative projects, you will help promote the adoption of more sustainable maritime technologies and reduce the environmental impact of the maritime industry as a whole.
Your strengths for success:
Education & Experience: Engineering degree or significant experience in a shipyard or design office. Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in naval construction (mechanics of materials, finite element analysis, fatigue resistance). Preferred Experience: Prior involvement in the design and/or construction of military vessels. Experience with a military ship specification or procurement authority is a plus. Familiarity with classification rules is appreciated. Personal Qualities: You are rigorous, a strong team player, autonomous, and possess excellent analytical and synthesis skills. Language Skills: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication with clients, teams, and our international network. Proficient in digital tools, with strong writing and interpersonal skills.
