Starting Pay Rate: $28-32 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is partnering with a leading aerospace innovator to hire a Technical Drafter in Long Beach, CA. This role is essential in supporting multiple commercial sites and programs across Boeing—including Puget Sound, Portland, Victorville, BSC, and San Antonio—helping deliver precision-made products for 7-Series, Heritage MDC, and BDS aircraft.

What You’ll Do

As a Technical Drafter, you’ll contribute to the production of critical aerospace components while ensuring quality and efficiency. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Creating part files using CADD software to optimize manufacturing.

Communicating with customers, team members, and project managers to meet requirements.

Manufacturing Protective Removable Equipment (PRE), stencils, and paint premask.

Operating 3D printers to produce 3D PRE parts.

Producing aircraft registration numbers, fuselage identifiers, and other essential markings.

Conducting quality inspections of PRE, premask, and Mylars.

Packaging and shipping finished products to customers.

Managing materials inventory for just-in-time (JIT) ordering.

Safely team-lifting rolls of material (up to 45 lbs) to load machines.

Ensuring production areas operate efficiently and effectively.

Software & Tools: iCut Production Console, Summa GoProduce, Summa Axis Control, SummaFlex, CorelDraw, Redars, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Ultimaker Cura.

What You Bring

Required:

High school diploma or higher.

Commitment to regular and predictable attendance.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.                                               
 

Preferred:

Experience manufacturing paint premask, stencils, and PRE.

Experience with 3D printing for aerospace components.

Familiarity with Summa and Kongsberg plotters and drum cutters.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
