Technical Director/Photographer
Job Description: + Direct and execute the production of various live and tape broadcast and productions through fully automated system. + Must have experience with Adobe premiere, Ross overdrive automated system, expression graphic system and ENPS. + Collaborate with story topics and or Nat packages to executive producer. + Must possess ability to gather news content independently and efficiently for all platforms. + Shoot, edit and produce stories from news & community events both live and recorded for morning show. + Work closely with producers and reporters to collaborate on the best methods to produce content for multiple platforms. + Execute special projects and other duties as assigned by Executive Producer or News Director. Required Skills & Abilities: + ​ Minimum two years’ experience in news operations and production (Depending on market size) + Ability to work quickly under pressure in a live, on-air environment. + Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Ability to direct fast-paced, live productions for extended periods. + Working knowledge of state-of-the-art video switchers and effects. + Familiarity with routers, video servers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, graphics systems, and production equipment. + Strong computer skills. + Effective communication and people skills + Fluency in English, bilingual a plus + Flexibility to work varying hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities: + Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or related field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. + Minimum five years’ experience directing broadcast news programs; editing shows, news stories, content and special reports as assigned. + Must have experience working with Adobe premiere, Ross overdrive system, Expression graphic system and ENPS + Excellent communication skills both oral and written. + Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. + Photographer/editor experience required. + Ability to lift more than 60 pounds on a regular basis and maintains a positive attitude with teamwork mentality. + Valid driver's license and good driving record. + Collaborate and coordinate with producers to execute effective programs. + Respond to breaking news situations as required.
