Salary Range

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Work closely with designers and department head to land garment aesthetic in Production.Work with department head to develop fit standards to ensure size, construction and fit consistency within the brand and product categories.Spec production samples to ensure comments and construction details are correctly executedSchedule and lead fit sessions by addressing all construction and fit issues for each garment. Identify fit problems and clearly offer solutions to correct. Cut, pin and drape the fit samples as necessary to clearly identify revisions.Update spec packages after each fitting using illustrator and photo shop as needed to offer visual interpretation to factories. Send comments and track samples iterations.Identify potential production, quality and costing issues and make recommendations to ensure brand integrityAlign and deliver to agreed calendar milestones to ensure seasonal deadlines are metSupport fittings by taking notes Responsible for updating fit trackers to keep track of the production stage for each style from 1st Fit to TOPDaily communication with vendors required. Conference calls monthly or as needed Research and resolve fit, construction and finishing issues. Continually research competition in the market for various construction techniques, new technology and fit.

Qualifications/Experience We’re Looking For:
5-8 years’ work experience in the fashion industry including technical design construction experience and full knowledge of production timeline. Other knowledge should include an understanding of grading, yarn, stitches, gauges, knitting machine capabilities and garment finishing including washesAt least a 2-year degree from a technical or design college Knowledge of knitting techniques, machines, & applicationsUnderstanding of production garment construction and fit. Must be able to interpret design intent and create alternative “production friendly” solutionsGreat interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with a cross-functional teamStrong verbal and written communication skillsProviding positive solutions to issues as they ariseAbility to multi-task, proactively trouble shoot, problem solve and effectively influenceAbility to work under tight deadlines and prioritize workload to meet calendar goals Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Excel
