**Summary**
The Technical Design Producer is responsible for the design development of creative concepts for live experiences to effectively express the client’s brand and functional intent in the physical form. This role is the technical design leader that collaborates with a team to ensure quality, adherence to timelines, budgets and ensure the highest quality standards aligned to the overall structural design approach. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, creativity, and project management skills to bring bold concepts to life while ensuring structural integrity, functionality, buildability, and alignment with creative objectives and client budgets.
This position will support our Creative Production team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. The ideal candidate will be based out of Philadelphia, PA.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Performs as the technical design lead on multiple teams and highly complex projects, simultaneously.
+ Works collaboratively and closely with Design, Creative, Creative Technology, Estimating, AV, and Detailing team members.
+ Has an expert level ability to solve complex design problems, space plan, and create control drawings.
+ Reviews and approves final details, contributes to and oversees design’s quality, ensures adherence to design intent and commitment to project schedules including timely and complete handoff to estimating and detailing teams.
+ Has an expert knowledge of materials and methods of fabrication particularly for temporary structures.
+ Has expert knowledge and skills in relevant software applications and tools.
+ Leads and mentors teams by demonstrating communication, team collaboration and presentation skills that are clear and compelling to all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
+ Uses well-developed leadership qualities and demonstrates the ability to collaborate with other departments, divisions, and organizations.
+ Demonstrates clear and advanced technical design thinking and can solve complex technical problems.
+ Provides direction and guidance to designers and other team members for large scale projects to ensure the physical elements effectively meet the client’s objectives and strategizes with the detailing and fabrication team on how to build to bring concepts into built form.
+ Partners with project Creative Director to act as the main points of contact for estimation and detailing teams regarding design decisions and addressing feedback and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Stays updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to introduce innovative solutions.
+ Work with team to troubleshoot design and fabrication challenges, proposing cost-effective and creative alternatives
**Education & Experience**
+ Experience in environmental design, industrial design, and/or architecture leading technical design development
+ Experience in a creative, design and/or fabrication environment
+ Familiarity with Adobe Suite software, 3D Studio Max, V-Ray, AutoCAD, Sketchup or similar CAD software
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Has a creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of spatial dynamics
