Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Department Manager – Buildings to join our team!
In this role, you will get to lead and coordinate all architectural and engineering disciplines to deliver integrated, high-quality building design solutions from concept to construction.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leading and managing a multidisciplinary design team, including Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineers.

Overseeing the technical development and coordination of all building-related design works across all project phases.

Ensuring design outputs meet project requirements, client expectations, codes, and regulations.

Reviewing and approving technical documents, drawings, and specifications prepared by internal teams and subconsultants.

Acting as the technical liaison with clients, contractors, and authorities, supporting design validation, permitting, and construction readiness.

Supporting the development of execution plans, resource allocation strategies, and QA/QC processes.

Mentoring and guiding junior staff, promoting technical excellence and continuous improvement across disciplines.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering , is required; Master’s degree is a plus.

Minimum of 20 years of related experience in the building design field, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

Professional registration or license in Architecture or Engineering.

Proven experience in managing complex, multidisciplinary building projects.

Strong knowledge of international and local building codes, authority regulations, and construction practices.

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and multidisciplinary coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360).

Excellent communication, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Experience with large-scale mixed-use, institutional, or high-rise building projects.

Familiarity with LEED, Mostadam, or other sustainability frameworks.

Advanced skills in project planning and risk mitigation.

Ability to represent Parsons in technical meetings and design reviews with clients and authorities.

Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
