Technical Communicator

As a Technical Communicator, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the end-to-end development of software-as-a-service products, including technical documentation. You will work closely with R&D teams and other key stakeholders to plan, write, and maintain accurate, user-focused documentation that meets Nokia’s quality standards. In addition to product documentation, your role may include responsibility for areas like information architecture, graphic editing, production automation, or tools maintenance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute throughout the product lifecycle, from early design through to final delivery, ensuring that Nokia's customers have the information they need to effectively use our solutions.
 

Proven experience writing technical documentation in the software field.Exceptional written English skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to efficiently gather, understand, and synthesize complex technical information.Knowledge of information design principles and structured writing.Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Experience with XML-based semantic markup languages.Proficiency in documentation tools such as Oxygen (preferred) and Eclipse user assistance.Experience using version control systems (e.g., GIT) and issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).Familiarity with database technologies and web-based standards such as XML and HTML.

 

•    Collaborate with R&D teams to plan, design, write, and update documentation aligned with the software development lifecycle.

•    Create and maintain high-quality documents for technical and end-user audiences using Nokia’s tools and standards.

•    Participate in technical and language reviews and improve documents based on feedback.

•    Submit documentation for quality assurance testing and resolve defects on time.

•    Research and verify documentation by installing and using the product(s).

•    Work with stakeholders across development, marketing, training, and consulting services to ensure comprehensive and accurate content.

•    Publish final documents to internal and external audiences.

•    Drive continuous improvement by proposing innovations and enhancements to the documentation process.

•    Provide expert guidance and support to document users.
