**Location/Division Specific Information**
This role will be hybrid with support largely tied to Fair Lawn, NJ supporting the Laboratory Analytical Reagents Business Unit within the Laboratory Chemicals Division.
Impact:
Provide technical support for $300M+ product line in LAR business unit, providing technical support and training.
What is the role?
+ Use problem solving and analytical skills to assist with customer projects, technical investigations, and enquiries.
+ Deliver technical product training on site and remotely as the need arises.
+ Research, analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations for continuous understanding of existing and new segments and applications such as semiconductor, battery, and oligonucleotide synthesis.
+ Provide direction to the team ensuring business need targets are met.
+ Provide technical direction and mentorship to colleagues on customer applications.
+ Engage directly with customers & our commercial team to deepen our technical understanding of our customers’ needs.
+ Demonstrate excellent communication skills, keeping supervisors and project managers advised of issues and support needs.
+ Maintain an appropriate understanding of relevant scientific/clinical data and literature related to company products.
How will you get here?
+ Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Data Science, or related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years of industry or other relevant market experience, preferably in portfolio or supplier management.
+ Knowledge of laboratory products and applications, actual working laboratory experience, or familiarity with requirements in laboratory settings.
**Expectations of the Role**
+ Responsible for day-to-day technical support of the products and maintain cross-functional relationships with internal departments including Sales, Marketing, R&D/Product Development and Supply Chain, amongst others.
+ Act as a product advocate for internal collaborators, regional teams, and directly engage with key accounts.
+ Stay engaged with field teams through training and active involvement in sales, customer visits, pricing, and support.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
+ Customer facing experience and understanding of customer technical needs.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
+ Confident in delivering product training both in house and remotely.
+ Ability to identify and implement key process improvements.
+ Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn/adapt to new efficiency tools.
+ Ability to travel up to 15% travel, including occasional international travel.
