Job Duties: Deliver solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. Offer strategic technical support to assure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Create/utilize automated technology and instrumentation to diagnose, document, and resolve/avoid customer issues. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related technical field followed by 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Technical Analyst-related occupation. Position requires:
1. System Administration: Managing Exalogic systems, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance;
2. Virtualization: Oracle VM and virtualization technologies used within Exalogic;
3. Networking: Exalogic’s InfiniBand network architecture, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting;
4. Middleware: This includes, but is not limited to, products running on Engineered Systems or equivalent Java-based industry standards, such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, HTTP Server, MQ, and Microsoft IIS Web Server;
5. Storage Management: Managing storage within Exalogic, including Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance;
6. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize the performance of Exalogic systems;
7. Security: Security best practices for Exalogic environments, including SSL configuration, patch management, and access controls;
8. Patch Management: Apply patches and updates to Exalogic systems;
9. High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR): Configure and manage HA and DR in Exalogic environments;
10. Oracle Linux, Oracle Linux Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel;
11. Scripting languages: Python, Bash for automation and troubleshooting tasks;
12. Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues;
13. Create and maintain detailed documentation for procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps; and
14. Database Management: Oracle Database and its integration with Exalogic.
