Kforce's client, located in a State-of-the-Art facility in Northern NJ, is expanding. They are a publicly traded company that has been in business for over 50 years. They are seeking a Technical Accounting Specialist to join their team. Summary: This position will be the primary individual responsible for the maintenance of accounting policies and procedures and well as accounting research efforts on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (-GAAP-). All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Duties Include: * Drive the department-wide initiative regarding accounting policy and procedure development * Coordinate and oversee annual accounting policy and procedure reviews/updates * Drive GAAP and SAP research projects leveraging resources from functional groups within Finance * Actively monitoring and coordinating activities as it relates to the records and information management policy and procedures within Finance to ensure all departments are adhering to the policy * Responsible for quality control of the quarterly and annual documents filed with the SEC, through the review of disclosure checklists, among other things * Ensure company compliance with GAAP and SAP
