Job Summary
Performs critical technical accounting processes to ensure compliance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

Perform certain technical accounting processes that include preparation of monthly/quarterly journal entries, account reconciliations, analyses, and financial statement disclosures.Research Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting treatment for new transactions or other matters and prepare memos or present findings to support accounting conclusions.Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.Identify and assess accounting and reporting risks, and recommend control enhancements to mitigate those risks.Evaluate current procedures to identify opportunities for automation and simplification.Support special projects and perform miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree2 or more years of experience in AccountingEligible to sit for CPA Exam

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate Degree3 or more years of experience in AccountingCertified Public Accountant (CPA)

Knowledge and Skills

Microsoft Office skillsKnowledge of technical accounting processesKnowledge of GAAPKnowledge of SOX regulatory standardsResearch skillsAbility to clearly communicate verbally and in written form with various audiences
