Ingredion is looking for a Technical Sales Representative who will be part of our Virtual Sales Team. In this role, you will interact directly with our small and medium customers via our online chat and our 1-800 line, providing them with ingredient recommendations for their food & beverage applications. You will be managing customers directly and developing new opportunities. You will be joining a team of 12 and enjoying significant on-the-job training and support from other team members. This role has high visibility within Ingredion including exposure to many other groups within Ingredion (Sales, Technical, R&D, customer Service, etc). This role is ideal for Food Science graduates who want to better understand our portfolio of starches, sweeteners, plant-based proteins and hydrocolloids, and are passionate about working with customers. This role is a good starting point for career growth within the company.

As a Technical Account Representative, your responsibilities will include:

Manage customers in an assigned sales territory and develop new opportunitiesAnswer customer inquiries from the 1-800 line and online chatDevelop an understanding of Ingredion’s product portfolioDevelop an understanding of technical sales and how to help customers solve their ingredient formulation needs with Ingredion’s productsMaintain customer information in Salesforce.com Stay up to date with current trends in the food industry

Ideal candidates will have:

A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as food science, biology, microbiology, chemistry, nutrition, engineering, or related technical fieldInterest in working with customers and building relationships, customer-orientationAttention to detail, well organized, interested in working in a fast-paced environmentGood communication skillsGood project management skillsTeam player

Pay Range:

$58,160.00-$77,546.67 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
