Complete Description: The Bureaus of Information Management (IM) and Planning Services of the Department of Public Health require a SharePoint Developer to redesign several elements of the Public Health Tracking Portal and other ad hoc tasks as discussed with IM staff. The required skills include ability to develop a proof of concept in SharePoint 2013, present it to the project team, and, if approved, implement the proof of concept for use. The developer will have a week to design and mock-up the proof of concept for the initial project. If approved, the developer will work with the project team to identify the implementation plan and timing.
Key skills include experience in adding webparts to master pages and updating site navigation in SharePoint 2013. Additional skills include independently designing and mocking up solutions, presenting them, and implementing with team support.
Projects include the following 1) Master page redesignRe-design the master page of the portal to add webparts which may display data or dynamically rotate through portal highlights.
2) Portal navigation Update existing portal navigation to use more out-of-the-box features and functionality.
3) Ad hoc Additional research and proof of concept projects may be discussed with project and IM staff.
