LifeBridge Health is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Tech Aide I to support the Diagnostic Imaging Department. As a valued member of the patient care team, the Tech Aide I plays a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient transport and assistance for imaging patients. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start or grow their career in healthcare while directly impacting patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Transport patients safely to and from imaging departments (excluding MRI), using stretchers, wheelchairs, or walking assistance as needed.

Assist Imaging Associates with moving and positioning patients for procedures.

Utilize hospital systems (e.g., worklists, tracking boards) to coordinate and manage patient transport efficiently.

Operate and maintain transport equipment, including stretchers, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, and wall oxygen units.

Report malfunctioning equipment and coordinate necessary repairs.

Adhere to patient safety standards, including using two patient identifiers at all times.

Use transport trip tickets appropriately for inpatient movement.

Accurately communicate patient information and care updates during shift changes to ensure continuity.

Understand lab results and use systems like Telepak in the ED to assist in patient assessment and prioritization.

Ensure support across a wide patient population — pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Required Experience

Less than 1 year of experience required – training will be provided.

Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus.

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED (preferred, but not required)

Licenses & Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – Required
